Title: All We Leave Behind Us (Chapter Five Part Two)
Pairing: Chuck/Casey
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 12k
Warnings: Language

Beta: (adderlygirl) She gave me great advice, as usual. Thanks for sticking with me through another story!

Spoilers: Up to Chuck vs. the Crown Vic

This chapter will be posted in TWO entries, so please jump to the next.

The Finale! Later than I wanted, but here we go ....

Summary

Three months in LA was not anything John Casey hoped for when he agreed to chase down the new Intersect. It went against the usual formula – in, kill, out – and one that he never had a problem with up until now. But this time, thanks to an unforeseen twist, he’s stuck here wearing Lederhosen and serving up corndogs as a cover, while protecting the most unlikely human canister ever to be stuffed with the government’s precious secrets when he’s off the clock. And it’s a nerd, of all things.

Christmas Eve has sailed in, and things would have a tendency to get touchy-feely – if Casey let himself have a feeling. Instead, the holiday is the cue for him to do what he does best – without remorse, without sticky human emotions, and no one is going to tell him otherwise.

Well, almost no one.

(THIS CHAPTER WILL BE IN TWO ENTRIES ... please jump to the next – and I see a trend here .... : )

Thanks for the love of this! I really have had a blast writing our very scary, very hot Scrooge. (And there will be plenty of Chuck and the gang in each chapter, not just the finale.)

Title: Where the Road Ends (Chapter Twenty-Six)
Pairing: Chuck/Casey
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 10k
Warnings: Language, adult themes, m/m intense situations.

Beta: (adderlygirl) It just occurred to me: I hope chapters like this one never get mixed in with the papers you’re grading. Heh. Thank you!!

Spoilers: None
Author’s note:

Never let it be said that skye does not keep to her promise ;) I’m sending you off into the holidays with one more chapter (because how could I leave our boys there?) Yes, this is the last chapter until January – more on that in the author’s note at the end.

On another subject, I was surprised at some of the vehement comments behind the new ‘like’ button in LJ. Actually, it’s been around in AO3 for a while, and I wondered when LJ would catch up. But it seems some writers prefer full blown comments or nothing.

Listen, kids, I’m not one of them. ;) I appreciate anything: comments, likes, howls at the moon, smoke signals. I like to know (or crave, die by, need ...) that you’re out there and reading, so a like doesn’t offend me in the least. I’m here, you’re here, we’re good. (Though, yeah, comments make me swoon ....)

Author’s note:

All right. So here’s the deal. I will post two more chapters (hopefully) by November, and then I’ll be doing my usual thing and bury myself for a while to write holiday fic. I have one in the queue I’ve been wanting to write for several years now - back to season 1, we go!

For this chapter, and the next couple, those porn warnings apply. But hey, anyone who gets offended would’ve left freakin’ years ago – LOL.

Author’s note:

Contest time. I have a steal or shout out or whatever you want to call it from one of my favorite movies of all time, one of those that when it shows up on *fill in the blank any channel* you will pick it up from there and watch until the end. We all have those movies, right? If you find the line, please tell me in the comments. I am curious ....

Beta: (adderlygirl) And I thought I knew a thing or two about historical research. Heh. Luckily, I have always been blessed with uber-nerdish beta readers *said with love*. Thank you for always catching me! With that said, we did agree to let at least one item in this chapter slip through without trouble.

Spoilers: None
Author’s note:

Try not to gasp at the word count, but this chapter is in TWO ENTRIES, so please go to the next after this.

For anyone who’s been around these parts for a while, you might have an idea what’s coming up. I don’t need to say the warnings above will now be in full effect, right? We also know the boys have a tendency to get chatty (well, one of them does) while the other gets more ... impatiently repressed? Fun ensues. : ) (I hope ....)

I cannot promise a lot of plot for the next chapter or five. Mea culpa...
